Do you know that most of the woven clothes in Bali and Lombok are produced in the village of Troso in Jepara? Visit Omah Petrok, home of the youth organization of Troso who thrive to develop Troso’s own signature pattern. Get to know the people behind the crafts and learn all about the designs and history behind it. Have a go yourself and make a few souvenirs to take home. Finish at Rumah Kartini to learn about one of Indonesia’s most famous national hero’s and get to know the community that unites and promote Jepara culture among the young generation.
A full day tour will then take you to Mulyoharjo, the street of wooden sculptures and the beach Bandengan for the sunset.
